Umlando wakwa Mnguni Clan Names

Isibongo sakwa Mnguni ngesinye sezibongo ezande kakhulu esifundazweni sakwaZulu. Kuleli khasi sithi ake siqaphuze kancane ngomlando waso lesi sibongo. Ngokomlando sithola ukuthi uhlu lozalo lwakhona lumi kanje: Kukhona uLunyanda, Magangathi, Mlotshwa, Mafu, Mbekwane, Zwangendaba, Ntabeni, Mgayi, Mbela (Mombela), kanye noMpezeni. Lana ke ngeke sigxile ekutheni bona noMzimela bahlobene kanjani ngoba lufushane ulwazi esinalo ngoMzimela kanye nobuhlobo balezi zibongo zombili.

AbakwaMnguni bathutha esifundeni sakwaZulu ngezikhathi konothuthuva kubusa iSilo iLembe eleq‘ amalembe ngokukhalipha ngenxa yokuthi babengafuni ukuthelwa amachaphazelo empi kaShaka. Babekade besuka eNingizimu nezwe njengoba kwakwenze nabakwaXhosa. AbaNguni kutholakala ukuthi bahlobene nawo amaXhosa bangabegazi elilodwa. Sithola ukuthi AbeNguni namaXhosa bahlobene nje ingoba phela uMnguni kwabe kunguyise kaXhosa okuyilabo abagcina sebenesizwe sabo esibizwa ngokuthi amaXhosa. AmaXhosa nabeNguni bahlukaniswa ikhona ukuthutha bethuthelwe ezifundeni ezahlukene noma ngaleso sikhathi abathutha behlukana ngaso yayingakabi bikho lento yamagama ezifunda. AbaNguni bathutha balibhekisa empumalanga kwase kwathi amaXhosa wona asuka eNingizimu alibhekisa maphakathi nezwe enyakatho.

AbangakwaMnguni neSilo uShaka

Ngenkathi amaXhosa efuduka ashiya emuva abeNguni esifundeni sakwaZulu, laba abaNguni ababashiya babe ngaphansi kuka Zwangendaba, okuwuyena owayaziwa kanti ke naso isizwe esasengamelwe uyena sasaziwa ngakho ukuthi abeNguni baka Zwangendaba. Ukufakazela lokhu ukuvela kokuthi kuke kwaba khona ubudlelwano kanye nokungaboni ngasolinye noZwide owayezalwa uNtombazi. Njengoba sishilo ukuthi abeNguni babaleka bebalekela uNodumehlezi kaMenzi, ekubalekeni kwabo babhaca ngaphansi kuka Zwide welamaNdwandwe okuyila ayengaphansi kukaZwide khona. UZwide kuvela ukuthi wanqoba uShaka nje ingoba wayehamba naye uZwangendaba wakwaMnguni kuleyompi. Kusemlandweni ke ukuthi iSilo uShaka wagcina ebanqobile abakwaNdwandwe okwaphetha ngokuthi badle phansi bebaleke bebaleka naye ke uZwangendaba baze bayofinyelela endaweni ebizwa ngokuthi kuse Wakkerstrom.

Ngisho izelamani zihamba zihambe zigcine zihilizisane, yini pho eyayingahluka phakathi kuka Zwide noZwangendaba? Naye ke uZwangendaba bagcine bephakamisele izikhali belwa nebala wanqoba ke uZwangendaba enqoba uZwide. UZwangendaba wabe esemenza isiboshwa sakhe ke uZwide emva kokuba emnqobile, nokuthe ngokuhamba kwesikhathi wabuye wasibuyekeza isinqumo sakhe. UZwangendaba kwabuye kwamudla ukuthi uZwide ube yithunzi lakhe lokuphumula ngenkathi ebalekele uShaka nebala ke wasiguqula isinqumo sakhe wagcina ngokumkhipha uZwide etilongweni. Wabe esemdedela uZwide ukuthi aphindele kubo, wamunika nezinkomo ayethi ziwumphako kaZwide njengoba wabe esephindela kubo. Kodwa lesisenzo sikaZwangendaba asimenzanga nhlobo uZwide ukuthi axole axolele ukuthi wabe ekade eseyisiboshwa somuntu akamlulela isandla esenkingeni. UZwide walikhipha ngembaba elokuthi yena uzoziphindisela kwabaka Mnguni beholwa uZwangendaba ngenxa yesenzo sakhe.

Izivunguvungu noZwide

Emva kwalokho uZwide wabe esephaka eyakhe impi efuna ukuyoziphindeselela kuZwangendaba ngenxa yesenzo sakhe. Kepha akuhambanga ngokufisa kwakhe umfoka Ndwandwe njengoba yagcina ingalunganga indaba yakhe yokuthi ahlasele abaNguni. Lokhu phela nje ingoba uNtombazi unina kaZwide oyinkosikazi kaLanga wavuka umbhejazane wathi cha ngeke kwenzeke lokho, engamuhlasela kanjani uZwangendaba njengoba wamenzela isihe esingaka emudedele nezinkomo kade eboshiwe. Kwathi ibutho likaZwide selihlomile esigodweni sebelungisele impi, kwenzeka imihlola yodwa ngoba phela uNtombazi wavele wahlubula konke akugqokile wasala ngesudi yesele evimba impi eyabe isiphakwe kwaNdwandwe ilibhekise kwaMnguni. Lokhu kwawathusa kwasuka izinwele amabutho ethuswa ilesi sehlo sika Ntombazi, lokhu okwaholela ekutheni anqabe izinqotho ukuyohlaselwa uZwangendaba ngenxa yokuthi babekubona kuyihlazo ishobolo uqolo lokhu okwabe kwenziwe unina kaZwide.

Inkulumo kaNtombazi etshela uZwide ukuthi angabahlaseli abeNguni isho khona ukuthi vele kwabe kungabantu abaziwa ngaso isibongo sakwaMnguni. Kuzokhumbuleka ukuthi zonke izinhlanga ngokwehlukana kwazo zabe zithutha ngezimo ezithile, ingakho kutholakala ukuthi kukhona ngisho AmaZulu koBulawayo eZimbabwe. Ingakho kungamangazi uma sithola ukuthi ngisho amaThonga ezwa ngesizwe samaNguni ngalenkathi bebalekela uShaka. Abanye babethi AbeNguni basuka ngaphansi kwamaThonga, kepha lokho akusilona iqiniso ngoba phela uManukukazi wakwaSoshangani wafikela kubona ebalekela uShaka. Phela kuzokhumbuleka ukuthi uManukuza kwabe kuyindodana kaGasa ngaphansi kwabakwaNdwandwe okusizwe sikaZwide. AbakwaGasa bahambe baze bafika ngenhla yomfula obizwa ngokuthi iLimpopo River nokuyila okwagcina sekunendawo khona ebizwa ngokuthi kuse Gasaland. UGasa kwabe kungumfowabo omncane kaZwide. Abanye bathi isizwe sikaManukuza sathola igama laso kumaThonga ababiza ngamaNguni ngoba babethi lelo gama lisho ukuthi bangamasela, kepha akunjalo.

Akunjalo ngoba phela uManukuza wabe engaphansi kwesizwe sakwaNdwandwe bona ababehlobene noZwangendaba hhayi ngokwegazi kepha ngokwesimo sempilo. Labantu babehlobene kuphela ngokuthi babebambisene uma kuliwa izimpi baphinde basiselane futhi imfuyo. Kuthe ngokuhamba kwesikhathi uZwangendaba wahamba nala akagcina edlule esizweni sikaMzilikazi, yena owabe enobudlelwano obuhle naye. Wahamba waze wafika endaweni eyayibizwa nge Transvaal wafike wahlala khona ngonyaka ka 1829. Lona kwabe kungunyaka olandela unyaka okwaguqa ngalo iLembe emhlabeni. Wagudla njalo egudla ulwandle elibhekise la okuphuma khona ilanga. Lana uZwangendaba wayesehamba ebheka abangani bakhe uManukuza kanye Mhlabawadabuka, okungamadodana kaGasa, indodana encane kaLanga wakwa Ndwandwe. Ehamba nje wabe ehamba nenqwaba yamabutha eyebe ingxenye yakhe emva kokuba wayehlule izizwana ayengaphansi kwazo. Nakhona lapho akahlalanga isikhathi eside noManukuza ngoba phela kwaphethuka isiphethu phakathi kuka Mhlabawadabuka kanye noManukuza, okwaphetha ngokuthi uMhlabawadabuka ahambe.  Mhlabawadabuka waphetha ngokuthi ahlangane noZwangendaba nakho lokho akubanga into yesikhathi eside ngoba phela bagcine bethuthile lapho.

AbeNguni bakaZwangendaba bahlala khona lapho bethatha nomhlaba abawuthola khona, kodwa ke ekuhambeni kwesikhathi lesi sizwe sahlukana kabili phakathi. Ekuhambeni kwesikhathi uZwangendaba wadlula emhlabeni eshiya amadodana akhe noma amanye awo kwaba nzima ukuthola ukuthi athuthela kuziphi izifundo kepha aduma emadodaneni akhe mabili kuphela. Kwaba uMthwalo kanye nomfowabo omncane owabe ebizwa ngokuthi uMombela.  UZwangendaba Mnguni wayethandwa kakhulu abantu besizwe sakhe ngoba phela wabe ebahlonipha abantu besizwe sakhe.

Ukuhlukana kwesizwe sikaZwangendaba

Abanye abeNguni baba ngaphansi kwenduna kaZwangendaba emva kokuba esedlule emhlabeni, igama lale nduna kwabe kungu Zulu-Gama, babe sebe zibandakanya noMungwala, uMungwala yena wabe ezala uZungu. Kube sekuphatha uZulu-Gama abantu abamvukela umbhejazane okuthe uma esehluliwe wadla phansi ewela umfula obizwa ngokuthi Shire. Emva kwalokho kwabe sevela igama elithi AbaNguni bakaNgomane. Njengoba sishilo ukuthi emva kokuhamba kwakhe uZwangendaba isizwe sakhe sahlukana phakathi, enye yezinduna zakhe ebizwa ngoSiwelewele oyindodana kaNdlovu nezinye izinduna bahamba nomunye umndeni kaZwangendaba okuyilaba abagcina sebebizwa ngabaNguni baphakathi. Kuningi okunye okungaveli ngomlando wakwaMnguni ngoba phela umlando wesibongo isikhathi esiningi ubulandela abantu ababe nedumela kuleso sibongo okukhulunywa ngaso.

Sesivala nje ngomlando wabaNguni kumele sikuveze ukuthi uMlotshwa kwabe kungumkhulu kaZwangendaba, kanti yena uMlotshwa wabe ezalwa nguMgangathi ngeminyaka yabo 1700. Kuphinde kuvele futhi kukhona abaNguni abangaphansi kwamaLala. Lowo Nguni kwabe kunguyise ka Vilwana, yena owabe enguyise kaMakhathini owabe enamadodana amabili okungu Mbanguba wasendlini enkulu bese kuba noKheswa wakwenye indlu naye. Indlalifa yaloyo Mnguni kwabe kungu Mzimkhulu. Sekukonke nje, kunzima ukuthola ulwazi olwanele ngezibongo ngoba phela okhokho bokhokho bethu babengabantu ababengabhali phansi konke bekudlulisa ngezihasho, izibongo kanye namahubo akuloyo muzi, okusho khona ukuthi okuningi kwethu akulotshiwe futhi kunzima ukuthi sikuthole kunjalo ngaphandle kokuthi kudungeke noma kungabi nohubhu lukabhejane.
