Kuyavela ukuthi umuntu owayephethe abantu bakwaJele ngesikhathi sokubusa kwenkosi uSenzangakhona, kwabe kunguZwangendaba kaZiguda owayephethe isikhundla sokuba yinduna, ehola ibutho lenkosi uZwide elalibizwa ngokuthi amaPela. Umlando usivezela ngokusobala ukuthi abantu bakwaJele babekhonza ngaphansi kwenkosi uZwide ngesikhathi isabusa, bona bakhe phezu komfula iHluhluwe endaweni ebizwa ngokuthi yiseMfekayi kuze kuyoshaya eChwebeni namhlanje eselibizwa ngokuthi iSimangalisa Wetland Park. Kuyavela ukuthi uZwide wabulala inkosi uDingiswayo, okwakuyisenzo esamnenga kakhulu uShaka, wagcina eqome khona ukumhlasela uZwide. Phela kuShaka inkosi uDingiswayo yayifana noyise ngoba nguyena owayeyikhulisile. Kuthiwa ke kuyo leyompi okwakubanjenwe ngezihluthu kuyo, uZwangendaba nomnewabo uZiguda babephambili empini, besekhaleni layo.

Ekubuyeni kwabo bafike bazinza eMsuzwaneni (eGolela), emngceleni waseSwazini nelaKwaZulu.Yingakho nje kuze kube namuhla kukhona abantu bakwaJele eSwazini, endaweni yaseMhlosheni. UZwangendaba yena wawela umfula nabalandeli bakhe babheka enyakatho.
Imvelaphi yesibongo sakwaGumbi
Kunendida ke ukuthi laba bakwaJele bashintsha kanjani ukuthi bazibize ngokuthi bangabakwaGumbi. Kunemibono ehlukene, ewunxantathu. Ngokombono wokuqala, kuvezwa ukuthi abakwaJele bavumelana ngokuthi bashintshe isibongo sabo ngoba besaba ukusobozelwa yinkosi uShaka, ngakho-ke bavumelana ngokuthi babe ngabakwaGumbi. Kanti abanye abadala bakwaJele bona bathi ngesikhathi sebebuya noSomkhanda eSwazini babehamba becasha emagumbini, lokho-ke kwenza bagcine sebe ngabakwaGumbi. Kanti elinye iqembu kwabakwaJele lithi uGumbi kwakuyigama lenkosazana yakwaJele eyabe iyishinga, ishaya kwasani, eyabuyela KwaZulu noSomkhanda. Sebefikile eMsuzwaneni (eGolela) abalandeli bakaSomkhanda (sebezibiza ngabakwaGumbi hhayi abaKwaJele) babulawa yisifo sikamalaleveva ngoba kwakuhlasele omiyane kuleyo ndawo. UNtini kaSomkhanda
Ngemuva kokukhothama kukaSomkhanda, watshalelwa khona eGolela. Owabe esethatha isikhundla kwaba nguNtini owayeyinkosana yakhe uSomkhanda. UNtini lona wabe esethatha inkosazana yakwabo uNomqiki wayiqhuba wayoyiganisela uSambane inkosi yabantu bakwaNyawo. USambane ekuboneni kwakhe ukuthi isizwe sakwaGumbi sibhuqwa siqedwa umalaleveva, wasimema ukuthi senyuke sizokwakha ezweni lakwaNyawo. Nempela abantu benyuka bafika bakha eSibhulubeni eMthonjeni. Ngemuva kokwakha kwabakwaGumbi esizweni sakwaNyawo, inkosi uSambane wanxenxa uNtini ukuthi amfake isandla ngamabutho njengoba wayehlela ukuyohlasela inkosi yakwaMngomezulu ababengomakhelwane nayo, uLubelo Mngomezulu. Nebala uNtini wakuvuma lokho ukuthi afake isandla uSambane kulempi ayezoyibamba nabakwaMngomezulu. Okuvelayo ke lapha wukuthi uSambane wahlomekisa amabutho akwaGumbi kulempi ayeyilwa noLubelo, lokho wakwenza ngokuba agodle amabutho akhe ekutheni alwe impi, waphonsa awakwaGumbi ogibeni lokudliwa yijozi nokuduka phakathi kwenkungu. UNtini wabuyela kuSambane wayoxabana naye ngokuthi umholele ophathe wadayisa ngamabutho akhe empini kanti awakhe uwafihle ngemuva kwesivalo. Abaziyo bathi wathi uma embuza ukuthi yisiphi isizathu sokuthi angawathumelanga amabutho akhe empini ethi “Hawu’ mlam’wami ungaze ungiholele emphandwini wengonyama nabantu bakababa? Uthi akuyohlaselwa uLubelo wena ujika uyasala”, uSambane wamphendula ngokukhulu ukunganaki, lokho kwaqhubela ingxabano phambili. Sebexabene oNtini noSambane, abantu baKwaGumbi baduba balifulathela elaKwaNyawo baqombola izintaba zoBombo, bangenisa eZimbidleni (KwaMyeni).
Basuka KwaMyeni amabombo bawabhekisa KwaMandlakazi ngase Bhanganomo esifundeni saKwaNongoma endaweni okuthiwa kuKwaSiwela. UNtini nesizwe saKwaGumbi bahlala isikhathi eside KwaMandlakazi, wakha khona umuzi waseMvokweni nowasekuLayezeni. UNtini waze wakhothamela khona Kwamandlakazi, isizwe sabe sesiholwa yinkosana yakhe uNkomazana (iNgobamakhosi).
UNkomazana kaNtini
UNkomazana akahlalanga isikhathi eside emhlabeni wakhothama naye. Isikhundla sakhe sabe sesibanjwa umnawakhe uNomagonondo kaNtini, ebambele inkosana kaNkomazana uSivumo owayesemncane ngaleso sikhathi. UNomagonondo KaNtini waba ngumngani omkhulu kaZibhebhu kaMaphitha laphaya eBhanganomo. Empini yaseSandlwana yomhla zingama-22 kuMasingana ngonyaka we-1879 uZibhebhu kaMaphitha, uDundu Nxumalo induna yaseMsebe noNomagonondo kaNtini waKwaGumbi yibona ababehola amabutho aKwaMandlakazi eSandlwana. Ngenkathi iSilo sas’Ondini uCetshwayo kaMpande edingiselwe epulazini i-Orde Molen eKapa, eze ehamba eyobonana neNdlovukazi eNgilandi, uDinuzulu (engakabi yiSilo) wabekwa KwaMandlakazi, oPhanyekweni, eNdlovukazi uKhundlase. Abantu bakwaMandlakazi bamejwayela lapho-ke uDinuzulu.
Ngesikhathi sekukhotheme iSilo uCetshwayo ngoNhlolanja ngonyaka we-1884, uZibhebhu kaMaphitha waxabana neSilo uDinuzulu. UZibhebhu wayesefuna kube nguyena ingonyama futhi wahlangana namaNgisi sebefuna ukuketula u “Mamonga” uNomagonondo kaNtini wakwaGumbi. Ekuzweni lokho iSilo uDinuzulu sathi uNomagonondo kaNtini akathathe bonke abantu bakwaGumbi basuke kwaMandlakazi ngoba uzohlasela uZibhebhu. ISilo sathi uNomagonondo akalethe oSuthu uSivumo kaNkomazana kaNtini, inkosana kaNkomazana uNomagonondo ayeyibambele ubukhosi, ukuze izifihlwa oSuthu. ISilo uDinuzulu sabuyisela abantu bakwaGumbi endaweni yasekuBhazeni lapho babakhe khona ekubuyeni kwabo eSwazini, endaweni esukela ezintabeni zaseMagudu ihame ize iyoshaya emgceleni waseSwazini. ISilo sathi abasikelane imingcele noMhlawuli waseMaNdlovini (kwaNdlangamandla), uMabhoko kaMasipula kaMamba waseMgazini (kwaNtshangase eMkhwakhweni), nabaKwaVuma (abaKwaMyeni) ngenkathi isibambana iMpi yaseTshaneni phakathi koSuthu noMandlakazi, uZibhebhu noMandlakazi belekelelwa ngamaNgisi eholwa nguColenbrander. Ngasohlangothini lweSilo uDinuzulu, weza namabhunu eholwa nguGeneneral Lucas Meyer noGeneral Louis Botha. Izizwe ezakhe ngasemfuleni uMkhuze okungabakwaMngomezulu, abakwaGumbi nabakwaMyeni zalwa eTshaneni ngasohlangothini loSuthu, zilwela iSilo uDinuzulu, kukhona nebutho lakwaMpukunyoni liholwa yinduna uMatiwane kaNongalo wakwaMsweli. Yingakho nje ezibongweni zeSilo uDinuzulu kuthiwa “Gijimani ngazozonk’ izindlela, niyobikela abakwasidladla (abakwaMngomezulu) abakwaNtini (abakwaGumbi) nabakwaVuma (abakwaMyeni, Nith’ amanz’ oMkhuze bangawaphuzi ngob’ uDinuzulu uyenzile indaba. Ulile ngemikhonto KwaZulu ngoba udadewabo kunguSililo, wagwaza iMpi yema yanjengegama likadadewabo uSimiso, wagwaza iMpi yabheda njengegama likadadewabo uSabhede, wagwaza umuntu wameya ngob’udadewabo kunguMeyisile”.
