You’re speaking of South African Ndebele KwaMhlanga. In Zimbabwe there are the northern Ndebele who were formed of a people who splintered off from the Zulu and migrated North into Zimbabwe with Mzilikazi, collecting and amalgamating ethnic groups such as other into the Mthwakazi nation who now called themselves Ndebeles. Some retained their family names while adopting the culture i.e. Moyo who would have originally been of Kalanga ethnicity. Moyo is also found in Swahili. In Shona the word is actually Mwoyo.
